Job Title: Architectural Engineer

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Union County, MS

Department: Engineering

Salary: Starting at $90,000 per year

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and licensed Architectural  Engineer (PE) to join our Engineering team in Union County, MS . This role is responsible for supporting engineering projects that require stamped approvals in states such as Florida , California , and other areas with strict structural compliance standards—especially for walk-in refrigeration units subject to hurricane, seismic, or other high-load conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver custom-engineered solutions.

  • Review and stamp designs to meet regulatory requirements in multiple states.

  • Serve as a technical liaison between Engineering and Sales, ensuring clear communication and accurate documentation.

  • Lead training sessions for internal staff, sales teams, and external partners on field issues and new technologies.

  • Maintain and renew PE licenses across required states, including completion of continuing education.

  • Support the Engineering team in improving and maintaining New Product Development (NPD) processes.

  • Coordinate with project engineers and the Compliance Manager to meet department goals.

  • Travel occasionally to other company manufacturing locations as needed.

Preferred Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems and sheet metal design

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD tools

  • Effective communicator with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly

  • Highly organized with strong project management skills

  • Analytical thinker and skilled problem solver

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering

  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (required)

    • PE license in California or Florida is strongly preferred

    • Structural Engineer (SE) license in California is a plus

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed PE, ideally with project management involvement
