Job Description Summary
Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure-track) and Endowed Dr. James Russell Myers STEM Professorship in Mechanical Engineering Technology with an emphasis on Advanced Manufacturing and Industrial Systems to teach in area of engineering technology; to maintain an active research agenda; advise students; and provide service to the institution. The anticipated start date is mid-August 2025. The successful candidate will primarily teach and develop undergraduate courses and laboratories in Mechanical Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, and Industrial Automation Systems. The faculty member will also be responsible for conducting research in the relevant field. Additionally, the faculty member will contribute to maintaining ABET accreditation standards.

Job Description
Miami University invites applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate Professor position and Endowed Dr. James Russell Myers STEM Professorship in Mechanical Engineering Technology with an emphasis on Advanced Manufacturing and Industrial Systems to teach in area of engineering technology; to maintain an active research agenda; advise students; and provide service to the institution. The Engineering Technology Department currently offers ABET/ETAC-accredited bachelor's completion degree programs with concentrations in Electrical and Computer, Mechanical, and Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology, as well as associate degree programs in Mechanical Engineering Technology and Electrical & Computer Engineering Technology. Additionally, the department has recently launched a new bachelor’s completion degree in Robotics Engineering Technology. Minimum Qualifications:
A doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a closely related discipline by date of appointment for appointment as Assistant Professor; established record of research/scholarship for appointment as Associate Professor.
