Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Circulating Nurse to join our surgical team at Gotham Footcare. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, efficient, and patient-centered operating room environment. The ideal candidate will coordinate surgical procedures, support the surgical team, and advocate for patient care from pre-op through recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough preoperative assessments, reviewing patient history and allergies.
Prepare and organize the operating room, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready.
Act as the central communication link between the surgical team and support staff.
Accurately document surgical activities, medication use, and patient status.
Maintain strict adherence to infection control and sterile field protocols.
Monitor patient safety and well-being throughout the procedure.
Respond effectively in emergency situations as needed.
Ensure smooth patient transition to postoperative care.
Qualifications:
Education: BSN preferred; ADN acceptable.
Licensure: Current NY Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a surgical or perioperative setting preferred.
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required. CNOR certification is a plus.

Working Conditions:
Must be able to stand for long periods, assist with patient transfers, and operate in a sterile surgical environment.
