QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate’s degree in economics, informatics, public health, or related field required. Minimum of one year of experience in quality/data management, statistics, or data reporting required. Knowledge of clinical quality improvement methodology in the field of healthcare preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel programs required. Ability to build and interpret charts, graphs, and data tables within Excel required. Knowledge of and ability to use electronic practice management and electronic medical record systems required. Beginner to intermediate SQL skills preferred. Experience with population health or data analytics tools preferred. Must be highly self-motivated, organized, and demonstrate the ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities. Must be able to analyze data, provide accurate and consistent reporting, draw conclusions, and present findings using available tools and software. Must be able to communicate data insights effectively to both technical and non-technical staff. Must have received or be willing to receive COVID19 vaccination per current hiring policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all quality programs that Marimn Health participates in, including AAAHC accreditation, UDS (Uniform Data System), PCMH (Patient-Centered Medical Home), and payer incentive programs that may develop over time. Stay informed about new and evolving programs and compliance requirements.
  • Collect, validate, and analyze data related to clinical quality, operational efficiency, and patient experience. Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports to support internal and external reporting requirements. Facilitates improvement activities as needed.
  • Integrates work with other staff and areas of Marimn Health’s operation. Ability to help staff clarify their needs and the business need of the report or other deliverable; use business analysis skills to assure full understanding of the needs.
  • Extract and manipulate data from Electronic Health Records (EHR), Electronic Dental Records (EDR), and Population Health Analytics tools. Create meaningful dashboards, charts, and data visualizations to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
  • Build, edit and analyze spreadsheets within Microsoft Excel.   Maintain accurate, up- to- date documentation of all active quality programs.  Review data over time to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work directly with the Quality Improvement Manager to develop and implement clinic programs to improve clinical quality measures and reach internal quality goals.
  • Work with the Quality Improvement team and clinic leaders to run PDSA cycles and effectively document new business process, new protocols or policy changes.
  • Continually identify and lead data validation projects with other members of the Quality Improvement Team to ensure a high level of data integrity within the clinical software systems as it pertains to clinical quality measures.
  • Maintain current knowledge of primary care practices, CMS requirements, HHS guidance, and other regulatory standards relevant to FQHCs
  • Monitor federal and state healthcare initiatives, policy changes, and new reporting requirements. Proactively assess their potential impact and prepare the organization accordingly.
  • Proactively look for reporting solutions and enhancements; communicate any issues timely if they arise and presents solutions to the problems.
  • Provide training or technical assistance to clinical and operational staff on interpreting data reports, understanding quality metrics, and leveraging data for improvement.
  • Ensure all data handling complies with HIPAA and other applicable data privacy regulations.
  • Support grant applications or performance reporting for HRSA and other funders by supplying accurate and timely data aligned with grant metrics and program objectives
  • Ability to use down-time productively.
  • Uses email services, internet and electronic record systems appropriately.
