Clinical Research Nurse Practitioner
The Clinical Research Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) will play a pivotal role in conducting clinical trials, adhering to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and trial-specific protocols. This position involves direct patient care within clinical research trials, ensuring the highest medical and scientific standards are maintained.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct study activities as delegated by the Principal Investigator and Study Project Manager, ensuring compliance with study protocols, GCPs, and FDA regulations.
+ Perform vital signs, physical examinations, and other clinical procedures as outlined in trial protocols.
+ Conduct phlebotomy and order diagnostic tests/procedures, coordinating with clinical collaborating departments.
+ Oversee study drug/treatment including dispensation, preparation, and administration.
+ Maintain accurate study drug logs, worksheets, and labels.
+ Monitor and record patient responses to treatment, adverse events (AEs), and serious adverse events (SAEs).
+ Coordinate medical questions and procedures with PI and study sub-investigators.
+ Coordinate patient treatment and AE management plans with investigators and Medical Director.
+ Ensure accurate and detailed on-time documentation, complete CRFs (electronic/paper), and maintain source documentation.
+ Prescribe medication and other treatments as necessary.
+ Discuss and obtain informed consent from trial participants according to ICH GCP and SOPs.
+ Handle medical emergencies in accordance with study protocol and applicable regulations.
+ Assist with study feasibility review and provide feedback on trial protocols and records.
+ Work with study coordinators to ensure adequate inventory of investigational products and study supplies.
+ Assist with patient recruitment, screening, and retention.
+ Participate in the review and development of standard internal documentation.
+ Participate in monitoring visits, audits, and inspections for data accuracy and quality.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
+ Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution with advanced clinical training.
+ Minimum one year of experience as a nurse practitioner.
+ Active and unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Arizona.
+ National NP certification.
+ Clinical research expertise.
+ Chart review and pre-screening patients.
+ Oncology knowledge.
+ Understanding of GCP guidelines.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
