JOB DESCRIPTION:

"Responsibilities:
Data Pipeline Development:
o Design, build, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines using PySpark and SQL to support business needs.
o Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Palantir Platform Expertise:
o Configure and manage data connections within Palantir Foundry.
o Develop and maintain pipelines using Pipeline Builder.
o Utilize Contour for data exploration and visualization tasks.
o Manage and version control code repositories within Palantir.
Ontology and Account Management:
o Create and manage ontology objects to ensure consistent data modeling and usage.
o Set up and manage usage accounts, ensuring appropriate access controls.
Collaboration and Support:
o Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
o Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Support and Maintenance
o Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting existing data pipelines and workflows.
o Ensure platform stability and resolve technical issues promptly.



Innovation and Improvement:
o Continuously explore new features and capabilities of Palantir Foundry to enhance the platform's utilization.
o Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement in data workflows.

Must-Have Qualifications:
A minimum of 8 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or in a related role.
Proficiency in PySpark and SQL for developing and managing data pipelines.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry applications, including:
o Data Connections
o Pipeline Builder
o Contour
o Code Repositories
o Workshop
Expertise in creating and managing ontology objects in Palantir.
Strong understanding of account management within Palantir, including user access and permissions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
Familiarity with Snowflake and its integration with data workflows.
Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.

Prior experience in data modeling and architecture design.
