Position: Maintenance Technician

Location: Newburyport, MA

A well-established manufacturing company in Newburyport, MA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs on production and packaging equipment

  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) tasks to minimize downtime

  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation of repairs

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize machine performance and reliability

  • Ensure that machinery, tools, and workspaces meet safety and operational standards

  • Collaborate with production team and management to identify equipment needs and priorities

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, conveyors, and motors

  • Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings

  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools

  • Understanding of preventative maintenance systems and reliability-centered maintenance

  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) experience and commitment to OSHA safety practices

  • Experience with ink press or packaging equipment is a strong plus

  • High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training preferred
