**Responsibilities**
Join the St. John's Regional Medical Center Dietary team and make a difference in the lives of our patients! As a **Nutrition Assistant I** , you'll play a vital role in providing high-quality nutritional care. You will:
+ Assist in preparing nutritious and appealing meals, including portioning, plating, and serving.
+ Follow standardized recipes and dietary guidelines to meet patient needs.
+ Maintain a spotless and sanitary work environment, adhering to strict safety and hygiene standards.
+ Assist with food inventory management and ordering to ensure adequate supplies.
+ Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, addressing their dietary inquiries and needs.
+ Collaborate closely with the Registered Dietitian and other dietary staff to ensure seamless meal service.
+ Assist with preparing meals for patients with special dietary requirements, such as allergies, intolerances, and therapeutic diets.
+ Maintain accurate records and documentation related to meal preparation and service.
+ Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance your knowledge of nutrition and best practices.
**Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
**This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.**
**Pay Range**
$23.00 - $26.44 /hour
