Position:

Oracle Database Administrator

Description:

Role: Oracle DBA
Duration: 12+ Months
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Provide expert DBA support for government retirement and benefits database systems similar to Client.
- Support Oracle databases (version 12c or above) and manage large database environments on Red Hat Linux (7.x or higher).
- Perform database upgrades and migrations to latest Oracle supported versions.
- Utilize Oracle Golden Gate or Oracle Data Integrator for data integration tasks.
- Oversee Oracle databases on ASM (Automatic Storage Management) and Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC).
- Support and manage databases sized 10+ TB.
- Develop standards, best practices, and technical/procedural documentation.
- Apply advanced Oracle features: Tuning Pack, Diagnostics Pack, Change Management Pack, Automatic Workload Repository (AWR).
- Write and tune PL/SQL objects and perform advanced database tuning.
- Manage RMAN backups, replication/materialized views, triggers, and database auditing facilities.
- Support Oracle databases in VMWare and Cohesity environments.

Requirements:

Required Experience:
- 5 years (within last 10) as a DBA supporting government retirement and benefits systems
- 15 years as a Database Administrator (Oracle 12c or higher), including hands-on with Golden Gate or Oracle Data Integrator
- 5 years (within last 10) as Senior DBA on Red Hat Linux 7.x or higher with Unix shell scripting
- 5 years (within last 10) performing Oracle DB upgrades/migrations
- 5 years (within last 10) supporting Oracle on ASM
- 5 years (within last 10) with Oracle RAC 12c or above
- 5 years (within last 10) supporting databases of 10TB or larger
- 5 years (within last 10) writing database documentation
- 5 years (within last 10) with Oracle 12c+: Tuning Pack, Diagnostics Pack, AWR, PL/SQL tuning, RMAN backups, replication/materialized views, triggers, auditing
- 3 years (within last 5) with Oracle DBs in VMWare/Cohesity environments
Certification: Oracle DBA 11g or higher Certified Professional (proof required)
