Preconstruction Manager - Commercial Landscape - Base Salary to 130k/year - Aurora, CO

• Our client, known for specializing in commercial landscaping and irrigation, is looking for a Preconstruction Manager to lead the front end of their landscaping projects. The Preconstruction Manager is responsible for identifying new opportunities, overseeing the estimating process, and coordinating all preconstruction activities to ensure accurate and timely bid submissions. The Preconstruction Manager will manage a small team and play a key role in project vetting, proposal development, and early-stage client engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the estimating team, ensuring timely delivery of accurate bids and proposals.
  
• Identify and pursue new bid opportunities, supporting business development efforts.
  
• Conduct project vetting and scope reviews to assess feasibility and alignment with business goals.
  
• Review project documents, including drawings, specifications, and scope requirements.
  
• Support estimators with high-complexity bids or during periods of high volume.
  
• Manage and maintain estimating data, bid schedules, and internal metrics.
  
• Oversee special projects and contribute to continuous improvement of preconstruction processes.
  
• Coordinate and submit required documentation to owners or general contractors.
  
• Manage the prequalification process for new clients and vendors.
  
• Collaborate with business development staff to maintain active pursuit lists and track opportunities through the sales funnel.
  
• Monitor key sales performance metrics and present data-driven insights to leadership.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or commercial construction.
  
• Direct experience in landscape construction preferred, but not required.
  
• Proven ability to manage sales pipelines and estimate commercial-scale projects.
  
• Deep understanding of estimating workflows, cost analysis, and bid development.
  
• Familiarity with CRM platforms and digital estimating tools.
  
• Proficient in interpreting plans, technical documents, and specifications.
  

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 100k-130k/year range plus full benefits package.
