Senior Data Governance and Data Quality (Collibra)

New York, NY, USA. (Onsite) - Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Job Description:_ This person will be a Sr level and will drive strategy discussions and best practices and will need to set up a catalog data on Collibra and set up API's Has Data governance and DQ policies and best practices. Has experience in registering and configured Business glossary, technical metadata, Lineage, Workflow development and DQ rules of data assets on Collibra DIP and DQ modules. Understanding of Collibra integration Library to integrate and communicate with Collibra Platform instance. Understanding of Collibra APIs for the purposes of building custom API-based integrations around the Collibra platform Has built data integration services using Java Springboot API and Azure cloud services. Has experience with managing collibra platform deployments and upgrades on cloud VMs

Contract Description

• Lead the development and execution of data governance and data quality strategies, aligning with organizational goals and industry best practices.
• Set up and maintain a detailed data catalog on Collibra, ensuring accurate representation of data assets, including business glossaries, technical metadata, and lineage.
• Drive the creation and implementation of API integrations using Collibra APIs to enhance data governance capabilities and automate workflows.
• Spearhead discussions on data governance and data quality best practices, mentoring team members and fostering a culture of data excellence.
• Oversee the development of data integration services with Java Spring Boot API and manage the deployment of these services on Azure cloud platforms, including Collibra platform upgrades and maintenance on cloud VMs.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data governance and data quality, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective policies and practices.
• Expertise in setting up and managing data catalogs within Collibra, including configuring business glossaries, technical metadata, and data lineage.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive strategy discussions and implement best practices in data governance and data quality.
• Advanced knowledge of Collibra APIs and experience in setting up API integrations to support data governance frameworks.
• Proficient in building data integration services using Java Spring Boot API and in managing cloud-based deployments and upgrades, particularly on Azure.
