Job Description

We are excited to announce a fantastic job opportunity for a Senior Interior Designer at a top-tier boutique architecture and interior design firm located in the bustling Los Feliz/East Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles. This position offers a full-time, in-office setup with a competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $95,000 per year, complete with comprehensive benefits and a 401(k) plan.

The ideal candidate will bring a rich background with at least 7-10 years of experience in the architectural and interiors field, holding a Bachelor’s degree in design. This role requires an individual with advanced knowledge in interior planning and design, space programming, furnishings, architectural materials, and construction costs. Proficiency in local building codes such as ADA, IBC, Title 24, and CBC is also crucial.

The Senior Interior Designer will take on multiple concurrent projects ranging from medium to large-scale residential and commercial interiors. This involves working independently and potentially leading the design process as either a project leader or a technical specialist under the guidance of a Project Manager. Key tasks include developing space plans, furniture specifications, and installation drawings, as well as presenting design concepts for architectural treatments, detailing, lighting, materials, and furnishings to clients.

Applicants should be proficient in Revit, CAD, and the preparation of presentation materials, and have experience in leading field surveys, managing furniture inventory, and documenting as-built conditions. Familiarity with industry-standard software including MS Office suite, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and scheduling tools like MS Project is expected.

Responsibilities also include construction administration tasks such as reviewing shop drawings and submittals, conducting job site visits, managing RFIs, and submittals. An understanding of LEED/Sustainability design concepts and certification requirements will be an advantage.

This role is perfect for a driven, meticulous professional eager to leverage their extensive experience in a role that offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects in a dynamic, supportive environment.
