Christie’s Photographic Solutions is hiring a freelance photographer for corporate business events and trade show photography. Candidates must reside in the Dallas TX or Las Vegas area to be considered. The right candidate must be customer service oriented, punctual, and have a passion for event photography.

Minimum requirements

Own up to date professional camera gear (Includes DSLR or mirrorless cameras, lenses, and flashes & Backup equipment).

CPS also offers photo booth-type products which provides more opportunities for assignments, so knowledge of various photo stations, software programs (Darkroom software) and printers is a plus (DNP Printers). If you are interested, please submit your experience, equipment list (including backup gear and lights, if applicable), and samples of unedited JPEG event work (Please do NOT send your customer-facing site and send via Dropbox or similar). Qualified candidates will be scheduled an initial phone interview within 7-10 business days.

Qualified gear - (Main camera & Backup camera) ( Main lenses & Backup Lenses) 2- On camera flashes and provide a list of all equipment, experience, and a link to UNEDITED work samples to be considered. Must Know how to apply and use CTO Correction Gels on your flash when color balance becomes an issue.

This is a sample of minimum gear needed for a typical Christie's photo shoot: Weather you shoot Canon, Nikon, Sony or Fuji below is a sample list of a basic Professional Sony Camera Photographer.

Sony a7 lV camera- Main

Sony a7 lll camera- backup

2- Godox V1 on camera flashes

24-70mm lens ( f/2.8 or f/4 )- Main

70-200mm lens ( f/2.8 or f/4 )- Main

Sony 24-240mm lens for backup ( if you have a problem with either one of your 2 main lenses this backup lens will get you through the rest of the shoot.)

1 set of CTO gels (Full, 3/4, 1/2 & 1/4)

USB card readers- (USB-C & Type A)

Multiple Camera batteries ( 3 batteries per camera recommended)

Multiple camera cards (4 is recommended plus 2 in each camera)

Laptop

If you have similar gear to what is listed above, please don't hesitate to apply. Variable camera lenses such as a f/4.5 to f/6.3 are not compatible with the type of photography we do here at Christie's. You need a straight f/2.8 recommended or f/4 type of lenses to work this job.

The pay rate starts with a probation period at $50.00 per hour (may vary based on assignment type) with a 3-hour minimum. After your probation period the pay rate may increase to a max of $65.00 per hour. Probation period may vary depending on your photography ability and if any training is required. (Average is 5 shoots per probation but I have had a few photographers hit as many as 10 before taken off probation or as little as 3). Please keep in mind with minimal photography ability and experience you may stay at the $50 per hour rate.

Your list of camera gear and your unedited samples link will be sent to the Editing Department for review. If you do not receive a response to your email within a week to set up a phone call interview you did not pass the editors review process.

Please make sure your samples link is direct and there is no need to type in an email or have to sign up for an account for us to access and review your unedited images. If there is any type of sign in to access your unedited images your information will be placed in a non-accessible file and the Editing Department will move on to the next applicant.
