Shift: Day Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $62/hour on W2
Job Description:We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Ultrasound Technician for a 13-week contract position, with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, working collaboratively with the medical team to support accurate and timely diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities:Conduct diagnostic ultrasound exams in accordance with clinical protocols and provider orders
Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-resolution images of internal organs, tissues, blood vessels, and fetal anatomy
Review patient history and physician notes to ensure appropriate imaging procedures
Clearly explain procedures and provide compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process
Properly position patients to optimize image quality while maintaining their comfort and safety
Identify normal and abnormal imaging results; escalate urgent findings for radiologist review
Accurately document patient interactions and imaging results in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment regularly; report and resolve technical issues
Follow infection control and safety protocols in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care
Maintain active credentials and continuing education requirements per ARDMS or equivalent standards
Assist in training or mentoring new sonographers or students when needed
Contribute to departmental quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
