Job Title: Volunteer Programs Recruitment Manager
Department: Global Programs
Position Reports To: Vice President of Global Programs

Global Care Force connects people with opportunities to share their time and talents, providing compassionate care with respect for all cultures and faiths. Since its founding in 2020, Global Care Force has placed hundreds of volunteers on four different continents, including service in the United States, Egypt, Israel, Mexico, Syria and Ukraine. Based in Lenexa, Kan., Global Care Force has partnered with organizations to facilitate the contribution of more than 15,000 hours of service resulting in life-changing care for more than 250,000 people around the world. Job Summary:   Actively seeking engaging individuals to volunteer for international development projects across various locations, requiring a strong understanding of cross-cultural communication, project management skills, and the ability to identify suitable candidates with relevant skills and interests to participate in global volunteer programs.?

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Volunteer Outreach:

  • Assist in creating compelling marketing materials highlighting the impact of global volunteer programs and diverse project opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies and tactics to attract potential volunteers through online platforms, social media, networking events, partnerships with universities, and community organizations.
  • Ensure that our organization is always equipped with high quality individuals that support the mission of Global Care Force.
  • Communicate frequently with volunteers to ensure they are satisfied and well-placed
  • Maintain detailed records of volunteers’ information and assignments
Candidate Screening and Selection:
  • Assess potential volunteers’ skills, motivations, cultural sensitivity, and suitability for Global Program opportunities
Program Matching:
  • In collaboration with the Global Programs team, match qualified volunteers with appropriate global projects based on their interests, skills, and availability.
  • Communicate project details, expectations, and logistical information clearly to prospective volunteers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree
  • 3 Years Minimum experience in attracting and retaining groups and individuals.
  • Proven experience in recruitment strategies and tactics, including online platforms, networking, and outreach campaigns.
  • Technical aptitude and working knowledge of databases, including MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balance competing timelines, and prioritize tasks in alignment with the organization’s needs.
  • Engaging and persuasive communicator in using written and verbal methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a team as well as independently, and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Ability to life up to 50 pounds.
  • Available for domestic and international travel, as needed.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in volunteering locally and/or internationally
  • Understanding of global development issues, sustainable practices, and international NGO operations.
