Job Description

Summary of the position:

BRAVE Church is seeking a spiritually mature and relationally driven  Volunteer  Team Director/Pastor  to ignite a culture of service and discipleship across the body of Christ in our Westminster, CO campus. This pastoral leader will equip believers to discover and activate their spiritual gifts through ministry teams, guiding them toward joyful service, deeper faith, and authentic community.
Grounded in the biblical qualifications for elders (1 Timothy 3:1–7, Titus 1:5–9, 1 Peter 5:1–4), the ideal candidate will embody integrity, humility, and a servant-hearted posture. With a deep love for people and a passion for the local church, the Serving Team Pastor will offer wise counsel, personal encouragement, and hands-on support—modeling Christlike leadership in every interaction.

II. Experience and Qualifications Required:

Spiritual Maturity & Biblical Integrity

  • Demonstrates Christlike character and alignment with elder qualifications (1 Tim. 3; Titus 1), including moral leadership, sobriety, doctrinal fidelity, and a lifestyle above reproach.
  • Ministry & Leadership Experience
    Holds a Bachelor's degree in Divinity and has 5+ years in pastoral ministry experience required, with proven success in leading volunteer teams, mentoring, and discipling others within the local church. Master's Degree preferred.
  • Relational & Shepherding Skills
    Exhibits strong interpersonal ability to connect across diverse backgrounds and stages of faith, offering hospitality, empathy, and spiritual guidance with humility.
  • Family & Personal Integrity
    Faithfully manages household life in accordance with biblical expectations, maintaining a strong witness both within the church and in the broader community.
  • Professional Competence & Flexibility
    Adept in organizational skills and technology (e.g., Microsoft Office), with a strong work ethic and willingness to serve evenings/weekends to meet pastoral and ministry needs.
III. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Serving Teams & Volunteer Engagement  Equip members to discover and use their spiritual gifts in ministry, build team infrastructure, and mobilize volunteers in alignment with the church’s mission and sound doctrine.
  • Provide Spiritual Mentorship & Pastoral Care  Offer personalized guidance, prayer, and emotional support to serving team members while modeling integrity, hospitality, and Christlike compassion.
  • Cultivate Community & Develop Leaders  Foster meaningful connections within teams, nurture emerging leaders, and encourage a culture of relational discipleship and servant leadership.
  • Champion Prayer & Spiritual Formation  Lead with a lifestyle of intercession, create opportunities for corporate prayer, and promote spiritual renewal among serving team members.
  • Teach & Train with Biblical Fidelity  Equip volunteers through biblical teaching, devotionals, and workshops—ensuring their growth in faith and effectiveness in ministry.
