Compensation: 27.50−32.50 per hour

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and licensed Water Treatment Operator to join our team and support the operation and maintenance of water treatment facilities across the Greater Baltimore Area. This on-site role involves ensuring the efficient and safe operation of water treatment systems, with occasional office-based work. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of water treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Conduct chemical dosing, process control, and routine maintenance to optimize system performance.
Troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions.
Collect and analyze water samples to monitor system effectiveness.
Collaborate with the team to address plant staffing and operational needs.
What We’re Looking For:
Knowledge & Experience:
Practical understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes.
Familiarity with chemistry, biology, and environmental science principles.
Experience in water sample collection is a plus.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Qualifications:
Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) certification as a Water Treatment Plant Operator is highly desirable (not mandatory, based on experience).
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or Engineering preferred (not mandatory, based on experience).
