Job Summary

Overview:

Are you passionate about food and eager to learn the ins and outs of a professional kitchen? As a  Cook Intern with Levy, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-energy kitchen environment. This internship is designed for those who are eager to build their culinary skills, learn industry standards, and work alongside seasoned chefs. If you’re looking to jumpstart your culinary career, this is the perfect opportunity!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn and Prepare: Work alongside our chefs to prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions. You'll learn how to meet production schedules, deliver great food, and maintain high standards of presentation and taste.
  • Cooking Fundamentals: Master the basics, including portioning, food temperature management, and making sure every dish is both attractive and delicious. You’ll get to taste all your creations!
  • Food Safety & Cleanliness: Develop essential food safety knowledge, including proper food handling, storage, and cleanliness. You'll assist in maintaining the kitchen's cleanliness and ensure all areas are organized according to safety standards.
  • Kitchen Operations: Operate kitchen equipment, learn maintenance procedures, and assist with inventory, ordering, and receiving food and supplies.
  • Collaborate & Learn: Participate in team meetings and safety training, build strong relationships with coworkers, and learn from industry experts.
  • Customer Service: Help serve meals with care, ensuring everything meets quality standards and is presented at its best. You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional food experiences to our guests.
  • Safety First: Work with a focus on maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient environment by following safety guidelines for equipment handling, food prep, and personal protective equipment.
