Our client is a product technology company with offices in Bulgaria and the USA that focuses on developing and implementing innovative IoT solutions for the security industry. What is your new role:
- Write well-designed, testable, efficient infrastructure as code (IaC) that’s easy to understand and well-tested;
- Understand the needs of our business and help us find the best path to meet them while building and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure;
- Build guard rails so we can move fast – we want to be the most responsive team in the industry and need help automating infrastructure deployments, monitoring, and security processes;
- Work on a variety of projects with minimum supervision, perform effectively from sprint planning to cloud infrastructure management and continuous integration/deployment;
- Maintain and optimize self-hosted infrastructure, including databases (MongoDB, MariaDB) and message brokers (RabbitMQ), ensuring high availability, scalability, and security;
- Provide support and participate in the Scrum process to ensure quality work plans for each sprint and into the future;
- Work within a cross-location team, bridging Sofia and the USA to develop an extraordinary product.
What it takes:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience;
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering roles;
- Proficiency in AWS cloud services (IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.);
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform);
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, etc.);
- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, etc.);
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK stack, etc.);
- Ability to manage and maintain self-hosted infrastructure, including databases (MongoDB, MariaDB) and message brokers (RabbitMQ);
- Understanding of Relational Databases, SQL (MySQL, MariaDB);
- Git with Git Flow or similar branching strategies;
- Fluency in English – both written and spoken.
