Direct Sales Representative - Solar (1099)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Solar Direct Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. In this independent contractor role, you’ll have the freedom to build your own client base, generate leads, and close sales through in-home presentations. This is a commission-based opportunity with unlimited earning potential for those who thrive in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Proactively generate leads through door-to-door canvassing, networking, and community outreach.

  • In-Home Sales Presentations: Conduct personalized consultations to educate homeowners on solar energy systems, roofing solutions, and battery backup options.

  • Sales Negotiation: Present pricing, financing options, and system benefits, negotiating effectively to close deals.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, guiding them through the sales process and addressing questions or concerns.

  • Self-Management: Organize your schedule, set appointments, and follow up with potential customers to maximize sales opportunities.

  • Market Knowledge: Stay informed on industry trends, incentive programs, and product offerings to provide accurate and compelling information to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in direct sales, preferably in solar energy, roofing, or home improvement industries.

  • Door-to-door lead generation and in-home sales experience required.

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Highly motivated, self-disciplined, and capable of working independently.

  • Ability to educate clients and simplify complex concepts.
