Description Job Title: Machine Learning Engineer Location: Onsite - Newport Beach, CA Compensation: Up to $200K base + 10-15% annual performance bonus About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in Newport Beach, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects in the energy sector, leveraging machine learning and statistical modeling to drive real-world outcomes. If you're passionate about building predictive models, optimizing systems, and working in a dynamic environment, we'd love to meet you! What You'll Do + Develop and deploy predictive models using statistical data to support decision-making in the energy industry + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into machine learning solutions + Apply core machine learning algorithms to uncover insights and optimize performance + Contribute to the improvement of battery storage systems (a plus) + Work with time series data related to energy usage and forecasting (a plus) + Maintain and improve the scalability and performance of ML pipelines Requirements Must-Have Qualifications + Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis and model development + Solid foundation in machine learning techniques and statistical modeling + Experience building predictive models from structured datasets + Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively + Masters or PhD (if you do not have a PhD XGBoost is required) Nice-to-Have Skills + Experience with XGBoost or similar gradient boosting libraries + Background working with time series data in the energy sector + Familiarity with battery storage optimization Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
