Overview The National Sales Trainer will assist with the implementation and coordination of the
organization’s sales and marketing strategies to ensure long-term business viability.
Key to this role will be the organization and the development of sales materials.
The National Sales Trainer will build and foster a positive and ethical compliant sales
culture by using proven methodology to drive sales as well as extensive field training.
The role requires top-notch communication and strategic planning skills as well as
multi-site management. Weekly travel is expected.
- Must live in Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, or Kansas
Responsibilities Responsibilities - Work with and independently of the Regional & Executive Directors for each site to ensure
timeliness of training, reviews and ongoing management of assigned consultants.
- Ensure that new strategies and messaging are conveyed and utilized by all
consultants in a way that can be measured.
- Daily monitoring of sales activity and use of required technology.
- Manage consultant's training and certification toward growth while maintaining
relationship with top referrals persons at each site as determined by the
Executive Directors and sales leadership team.
- On the ground Consultant strengthening.
- Availability to Consultants when traveling to ensure consistent success.
- Analysis of competitive market at each site.
- Assist with development of market and company-wide specific growth strategies.
- Internal sales to ensure sales to clinical cohesion at every site.
- Excellent verbal and written communication daily with sales leadership team.
- Attain and exceed goals consistently.
Position Conditions - Strong organizational skills.

- Ownership of defined region including sales consultants and top accounts.
- Timeliness of defined reports, weekly.
- Understanding of this role in compliance.
- Must be able to travel extensively.
Relationships - Works with, builds and fosters relationships with all referral source types.
- Builds and maintains positive internal relationships.
- Ensures excellent and positive teamwork with leadership team at GSH.
Qualifications - Minimum three to five years of home health or hospice sales strategy and
management experience and or Regional or National Sales Manager experience.
- Thorough knowledge of sales techniques and market analysis.
- Knowledge of the healthcare communities in each program is preferred.
- Commitment to the hospice philosophy of care.
- Proficient in financial analysis and technology (Word, Excel PowerPoint).
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills.
- Extensive experience in consultative sales; expertise and knowledge of
customers and competition a must in the assigned region.
- Identifies and develops advocates, influencers and thought leaders.
- Creates and maintains a network of strong sales candidates throughout the
assigned region.
- Excellent and impactful communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel extensively and up to 80% is a must.
- Must be flexible enough to manage in the midst of change.
