Job Description

The position will support the Accounting and Accounts Payable Offices by assisting with clerical tasks, accounting reports, and special projects. This position is ideal for students interested in business, finance, or accounting, providing hands-on experience with financial processes in a higher education setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and document organization.
• Work with spreadsheets to compile, format, and analyze financial data.
• Support accounting staff with reconciliations, expense tracking, and reporting.
• Assist in developing a Chart of Accounts Manual and other process documentation.
• Perform research and project-based work related to accounting and financial reporting.
• Provide general office support as needed, including handling inquiries and assisting staff.

Experience Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers.
• Interest in accounting, finance, or business administration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
• Current Harper College student and enrolled in at least 6 credits per semester (3 for summer semester).
