Job Description

Summary

The Biostatistician will oversee analysis of large datasets including genomic analyses, RNA-seq, ATACSeq, single-cell RNASeq and clinical research data analysis. The candidate will work with faculty, interns, graduate students, and research technicians monitoring data collected from experiments and assisting with preliminary analysis and presentation of laboratory findings. The candidate will also work with clinical research team to analyze and integrate genomic data and clinical data. .

Job Duties

  • Development and maintenance of database systems for clinical and preclinical research:
    • Defines problems and possible solutions in database design, data analysis and presentation.
    • Performs test methods and procedures for review of data in research projects in accordance with general.
    • experimental plans approved by the principal investigator.
    • Manages policies and procedures related to bioinformatics research, analysis, and data curation.
    • Designs, develops and maintains clinical practice records, forms and computer programs.
  • Preparation and analysis of translation and clinical research data: 
    • Conducts literature searches and summarizes information in an appropriate format for a particular study.
    • Documents results of experiments and reports to principal investigators.
    • Evaluate and analyzes and interpret data from research projects.
    • Provides preliminary analysis for grants and participates grant preparation meetings.
    • Researches and applies knowledge of existing and emerging bioinformatics principles, theories, and techniques to
    • inform Lymphoma/Histiocytosis program data analysis.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics or a related field.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field.
